I am glad you had a chance to check out my web site. In here you will find information about my work, my hobbies and myself. I should warn you right now, "I am totally NUTS about bicycling".
My main focus in my work and hobby is my overriding passion to learn about and decipher the human body, all for coming up with better ideas on how to make it perform better within life and athletics. You can say that it is an obsession of mine. When others are reading romance or spy novels for pleasure and relaxation, I am reading books on biomechanics, athletic training or physiology for the same reason. I enjoy my other modes of work, but you could say that I know that I have found my niche in life and am pursuing it with full force. I consider myself blessed in that respect. I feel that I know what I am to do with at least one part of my life on earth.
I feel some of the best life experiences for my obsession have been the different combinations of work that I have done. I have Skilled Trades Journeyman's Cards in Die Making and Experimental Sheet Metal, as well as an Associate degree in Applied Sciences. These experiences have given me some knowledge of physic's and how different materials behave, including what they are best suited for in application. My Skilled Tradesman work has also taught me how to fabricate items with different materials. This, by the way, is great for cycling! Though I haven't a college degree in health science or exercise physiology. I do have an Advanced Personal Trainer Certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and I am an Elite Level Licensed Cycling Coach through USA Cycling (the national governing body of cycling in the United States). I am what you would call more of a self-taught man, like my uncle (who invented the number door locks you see on Ford cars and worked at NASA with most of our countries space exploration program). However, when I have some more time, I plan to go back to school and finish my exercise science degree. I am half way there, so why not, right? That is when I have some time! Until then, I will immerse myself in the study of human performance and I know that I will continue to learn throughout my life. Whether it is in school or not. I believe that when we stop thinking, "there isn't any more to learn", we might as well quit what you are doing.
Along with working for General Motors as a health consultant, I am the owner and operator of Lippert Sports, LLC, a personal training and sports marketing firm. Lippert Sports was established so I would have a legitimate business avenue to pursue my human performance passion while helping others in the process. In this web site I have included the Lippert Sports Mission Statement, so you may see the operating theory and goals.
A neat fact about me
I really like the fact that my parents were so involved with our family genealogy. My mom and dad found that King Charlemagne was my great-grand father 37 generations back. I thought it was pretty cool that I am a direct descendent of a famous king. They also found out that if you go up 14 generations to a common ancestor and down 14 generations, I am Princess Diana's cousin. The weird thing is, our birthdays were only a couple of months apart. So do you think I should I call Prince William, "Cuz"? I am also a distant cousin of Humphrey Bogart. Pretty wild, huh? Seems like they have kept pretty detailed records of famous people. It's a good thing or we never would have found out any of this stuff. Who said I was ordinary?
I hope you find my site informative. Enjoy the day, I know I will!
